Performer, writer and theatre-maker from Glasgow. He is interested in text based work, verbatim and dialect. His new performance piece Theology is part of this year’s Arches Beahviour Festival. It deals with Glasgow language, industry and religion. He’ll be reading from some of that tonight as well as some new spoken word work he is developing with artist collective Team Effort, which is all about the drink.

Do not trust Leo Glaister. His tongue is counterfeit silver and with it he will weedle his way deep into your heart and even deeper into your pockets. If you find yourself feeling at all attracted to him (and you will), beware – have a drink of water, step outside for a moment if you need to; whatever it takes to avoid his venomous charms. If you can keep your wits about you though, he’s worth listening to – some of his poems are actually rather good
