WORDS FIRST: free spoken word workshops with Rally & Broad, BBC 1Xtra and Roundhouse!

Rally & Broad, with special guest tutors, will be running a week of FREE spoken workshops in Glasgow 9 – 13 November 2015, for aspiring performers and writers aged 16 – 25. Deadline for applications is 5pm on 13th September 2015 – get applying! In association with BBC 1xtra and Roundhouse.

Whether you’ve been secretly writing in your bedroom or performing poetry on stages for years, we want to hear from you.

If you are a new or emerging artist, poet, writer aged 16-25, BBC Radio 1xtra and the Roundhouse want to hear from you. We’re offering the chance to take part in FREE workshops to develop your talent, boost your confidence and move your career forward.

WHERE, WHEN & HOW:

The workshops will be run by Rally & Broad, with special masterclass tutors, at SWG3 Poetry Club, Glasgow.  You should be able to commit to the full week of workshops, running from Monday 9th November to Friday 13th November 2015 (11am – 4pm each day). There will also be a public event on the evening of Thursday 12th November on the Poetry Club stage.

The workshops are FREE – all you need to do is fill out an application form, including a link to a video of yourself performing your own material (maximum 1 minute). The application form can be found here: http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/young-creatives/autumn-2015/words-first/

Application Deadline: 5pm, 13th September 2015.

We’re not looking for polished performances, just artists who can show their passion, originality and personality. You must be a UK resident aged 16 – 25 to apply.
